Anodos began with a conversation between two people who had seen the financial system from completely different sides.

For Panos, the turning point came during the Greek financial crisis. Capital controls were imposed, banks restricted withdrawals, and people suddenly realized something unsettling: access to their own money could disappear overnight.

Peter had spent years inside the traditional banking industry. Having held senior positions at major institutions, he understood the system from the inside: the slow settlement rails, the hidden costs, and the legacy infrastructure that still powers much of global finance.

Peter reached out after seeing the ideas Panos was sharing online about the future of money. What started as a conversation quickly turned into a friendship. Over the years they continued exchanging ideas and eventually realized they shared the same vision: finance needed to be rebuilt for a digital, global world.

In 2023 they decided to stop talking about it and start building.

To turn the idea into reality, they brought together people they had known and trusted for years. Kostas with his deep engineering experience and Fabian with his experience in marketing and community building.

Together, the team combined experience across finance, engineering, and marketing, united by a shared mission: to build a financial system where people finally have real authority over their money.

That mission became Anodos.
