Financial Freedom Unlocked Monthly: October 2026

Over two thousand people have left the banks behind. Your seat is waiting.

Settle in. We’re unpacking everything that happened this past month!

Banks spent October paying fines. We spent it shipping a card.

A month ago, we opened the doors to 1,000 people. Today, more than 2,000 users are in the app, over $200K has moved through it, and a card is in their pockets. October was the month the beta turned from a promise into something people can actually use.

The beta exists to find what needs improving, so we keep shipping. We made UI/UX fixes and more assets available to swap — all driven by tester feedback and bug reports. With real users moving real money, every week now teaches us something a test environment never could.

We are still growing deliberately. The next waves will be bigger, and we will keep opening spots as the product earns them.

The Card Is Here

On October 2, we introduced the Anodos Visa Signature card — a premium card for people who move on their own terms. It works with Apple Pay and Google Pay, the virtual version is free, and every beta got free cards and bank accounts ready to activate.

The idea is simple: your wallet stays self-custodial, and your money stays spendable. No bank in the middle holding it. Early testers are already sharing their first card payments and EUR account top-ups — one of them put it plainly: everything worked smoothly, with no errors or delays.

What We Wrote This Month

Our blog continues to grow as a go-to source of knowledge, insights and industry experience on various financial topics. We highly recommend you to check these articles alongside other materials:

→ The Last Wallet You'll Ever Need — why supporting more chains is not the same as making wallets simple.

→ What Your Bank Actually Does With Your Money — fractional reserve banking, the spread, and who profits from your balance.

→ Why Immigrants Pay More for Everything — credit invisibility, remittance fees and the exchange rate you never see.

→ The Exit Signal Series — our new weekly one-pager on where the financial architecture cracked, and what the exit looks like.

The Month in the System

The old system kept supplying our best arguments. Bank of America was fined more than $1.2 billion over anti-money laundering failures, days after American Express was hit with a $350 million penalty. The OCC found that all 9 of the largest US national banks kept policies that could restrict customer access over beliefs or lawful businesses. And HSBC launched its own stablecoin for retail users — the same rails banks once dismissed.

November and Beyond

November is about widening the beta, folding tester feedback into the product, and moving closer to full launch — which we are aiming for in the coming months. We will not name a date until it is right. If you are not in yet, as always, stay tuned.
